Finding the Time for Happiness
Do you get the feeling that you're always late to something? Time pressure - we're all under it. There never seems to be enough hours in the day. From long commutes, extra hours at work, chores, families, and other commitments, life seems to pull us in a million different directions. In the midst of the chaos, we try to carve out a little fun on the weekends. We think if we only had more money, we would be happier, things would be easier. More money may certainly help, but it isn't a cure-all. So, what could bridge the gap? It has been found that while money in and of itself probably won't do the trick, money spent on time-saving measures can work wonders. That is to say, relaxing with take-out after a busy Monday can make you happier than spending the time (and effort) to prepare the same meal from scratch.
The next time you find yourself frantically checking your watch, consider what 'buying time' means for finding happiness.
