Keys to a Happy Weekend

Keys to a Happy Weekend

In her article, 4 Things Happy People Do On The Weekends, Emma Hakk suggests:

1. Happy people act like they only have a month in town

Who would you most miss and what places would you miss if you moved away?  Spend time with those people and those places.

2. They are that person smiling at strangers

Short, simple positive encounters increase happiness and sense of connection.

3. When they plan for Monday, they plan intervals

Schedule low-intense activities after higher-intensity activities to give yourself a break and momentum throughout the day.

4. They give themselves a short window of work

If you have to get work done over the weekend, schedule strict start and stop times to contain the work and not let it expand into the weekend.

Adding a little structure to your weekend and being strategic about your Mondays can lead to more happiness.
